PHYSICAL EDUCATION
The children will be able to come to school wearing their physical
education kit on days where there are PE lessons. We expect
them to wear a white t-shirt and plain black shorts. If the lessons
are outside the children can wear black tracksuit trousers or
plain black leggings to keep warm. Trainers will be needed if the
PE lessons are outside.
School Dinners
Lunch is provided for any child who wishes it. We are able to
cater for children with allergies. Sandwiches can be brought to
school, but 'fizzy' drinks or sweets are not allowed in the packed
lunch as we encourage everyone to bring a healthy packed lunch.
The cost of lunch is £2.50 per day, £12.50 per week.

Healthy Eating Policy: Healthy Eating Policy: There is a lot of
evidence to support the view that a balanced diet has a direct
impact on health. In line with this, we try to promote the
importance of healthy eating. We encourage the children not to
bring snacks - crisps, biscuits, cake, chocolate to eat during
playtime. Instead, you could buy fruit at school - £1 for
Foundation Phase children and £1.25 for KS2 children, or bring
fruit from home. There is a cold water machine in the school and
we ask each child to bring a bottle to school daily.
Universal Primary Free School Meals (UPFSM)
All primary school children in Wales will get free school meals by
2024. This commitment is in response to the rising cost-of-living
pressures on families and our shared ambitions of tackling child
poverty and ensuring no child goes hungry in school. The Welsh
Government is committed to implementing the scheme as
quickly as possible.
